At Linky, we prioritize transparency. This Privacy Policy details the types of information we collect, how we store and protect your data, and how you can exercise full control or request permanent erasure.
1. Data We Collect
To construct, publish, and secure your personal bio page, we process and retain a limited subset of information:
- Discord Account Details: Obtained explicitly via OAuth2 authorization. This includes your unique Discord User ID, username, and avatar hash. We do not access your friends list, servers, email, or credentials.
- Profile Configurations: Custom display names, username handles, bio messages, color palettes, custom images (PFPs, backgrounds), skew settings, and URL links that you save onto our server.
- Security & Access Logs: We log access transactions (including IP Address, Timestamp, Discord ID, and specific API actions) in a local ledger file. This is maintained strictly to prevent rate-limit flooding, brute-force creations, or malicious exploitation.
2. How We Process Data
The gathered information is utilized solely to:
- Host, build, and dynamically render your public link-in-bio directories.
- Protect our server resources from denial-of-service (DoS) attempts and spam.
- Aggregate individual, non-identifying landing page view statistics.
3. Cookies and Session Management
Linky utilizes temporary session cookies to maintain your authentication state while managing your profile. These cookies do not track your browsing behavior across other websites and are destroyed when you manually log out of your dashboard.
4. Third-Party Interactions
We do not sell, rent, license, or share your configuration data, Discord profiles, or logged IP addresses with any advertisers or third-party marketing brokers. Any information processed remains exclusively within our controlled server environment, save for the standard security-handshake operations with Discord's official OAuth2 endpoint.
5. Permanent Data Erasure
We hold a strong commitment to your right to be forgotten. You maintain complete control over your data. By navigating to the builder panel and clicking the Wipe option, our server instantly and irreversibly deletes your entire configuration directory, custom images, settings files, and routing code.
