Instagram now lets you add up to five links to a profile. Most creators still use one, and they are right to: five bare URLs with no context look like a spam list, while one page can hold fifty links with titles, icons, a featured drop and a form.
Set it
Edit profile → Links → Add external link and paste https://linky.moe/yourname. Give it a title like “everything” or “links”.
Design for the Instagram browser
Instagram opens links inside its own in-app browser. It is a slow WebKit view with no extensions. Things that work well there:
- Image avatars and WebP backgrounds (small files).
- Animated effects like particles or aurora (they are code, not video).
- Buttons with big tap targets.
Things to avoid: very large video backgrounds, pages with ten embedded players that all load at once. Linky lazy-loads embeds so only the ones in view load.
Measure
Append ?utm_source=instagram to the link. Analytics → Campaigns separates it from your other platforms. Linky also records the in-app browser as “Instagram” under Browsers, so you see how many people never leave the app.
